Each variety has been first trialed on our own Northern family farm to ensure these varieties will grow and produce in your Northern farm or homestead. Seed packets are made of heavy duty Kraft paper, fully compostable, with waterproof ink and filled with the perfect amount of seeds for one to two seasons or for one to two gardens (sharing with friends and neighbors!).

2,000 - 4,000 square foot garden for 8 people who has a high vegetable diet to 12 people with a moderate vegetable diet and produce to put up for the winter. Average work per week is 8-12 hours. Expect to work more hours during peak harvest times to process and store produce for the winter. (e.g. 70' L x 50' W)

4,000 - 8,000 square foot garden for 12 people who has a high vegetable diet to 20 people with a moderate vegetable diet and produce to put up for the winter. Average work per week is 15-20 hours. Expect to work more hours during peak harvest times to process and store produce for the winter. (e.g. 100' L x 70' W)
